Alexander Solodovnik is a student who, along with others, was supported by the Olomouc Archbishop’s Charitable Foundation as part of the Study Fund project. What’s his life story?

In the orphanage “Living Pearl” in the Ukrainian city of Bortniki, Alexander lived for nine years, from 2008 to 2017. He has a father and mother, but he does not live with them. When Alexandra was 16 years old, he left the orphanage and went to his father. However, he did not stay with his father, moved to his mother and started going to school. Unfortunately, after a while he could no longer live with his mother, so he moved to a student dormitory, where he lives to this day.

The orphanage in Bortniki still remains in his heart. He visits it regularly and talks about his life, studies and the need to constantly earn a living.
